Georgian Bluffs is committed to providing municipal policies, services, programs and facilities that are accessible to residents, ratepayers and visitors of all abilities.

The Township is required by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 to maintain accessibility standards within the Township. In 2019, Council approved an updated Multi-year Accessibility Plan.

The Township is currently undertaking a Multi-Year Accessibility Plan update for 2023. This platform serves as an engagement tool for you to share ideas and feedback on the Draft plan, while providing any other ideas to improve accessibility in our Township.

Accommodations

The Township recognizes some people may not be able to use various online public engagement features. Contact the project team for an accommodation to access engagement tools such as the map, forum or idea board. Hard copy Comment Cards are available for community input and feedback at all 3 Township arenas and the Township Administration Office. You can also provide any comments or feedback to the Clerk's Department at clerks@georgianbluffs.ca or by phone at 519-376-2729 ext. 602. It's important to receive feedback from people of all abilities to help shape the accessibility plan. We're happy to help.

    At their meeting on November 8, 2023, Georgian Bluffs Council approved the Multi-Year Accessibility Plan. The plan covers years 2024-2028, and renews the Township's commitment to providing policies, services, programs, and facilities that are accessible to people of all abilities.

    Strategies and actions in the plan over the next 4 years focus on customer service, informations and communications, employment, training, design of public spaces, and self-service kiosks.

    We woud like to thank everyone who took part in conversations on making an accessible Georgian Bluffs.
